Contact
AI HOMECARE GROUP and make an appointment for us to
visit you for a chat about how AI HOMECARE GROUP can work
for you. We are happy to visit you at home to discuss ways
we can help and then, once you have decided, you simply leave
the rest to us!
Our experience tells us that people's care
needs very often change. We therefore understand that care
may need reviewing from time to time. This is why we carry
out reviews on a regular basis and why we are pleased to hear
from members of the immediate family about effective methods
for delivering the care service for their relative.
We agree a 'Care Plan' which details exactly
what you have instructed us to do. This then becomes the work
list for each day for our carers. Click
here for details of the care services we can provide.
As part of our ongoing and unique relationship with pharmacies.
Care plans frequently evolve and we check regularly to ensure
that the care we are providing is appropriate to your needs.
Once we have established exactly what you
want on each visit, we will work to that list. We are not
able to give injections or change sterile dressings. Also,
we cannot carry out tasks which are likely to cause risk to
either the person we provide care to or to the AI HOMECARE GROUP worker. Tasks will be agreed with you in advance.
Any changes to the plan can be discussed with the AI HOMECARE GROUP team directly.
This depends on how many care visits you
have each week. We very rarely have just one care worker assigned
to a particular customer. This allows for periods of time
where your care worker may be away on holiday, however we
do try to keep the number of your care workers to an absolute
minimum.
Every member of the AI HOMECARE GROUP
team has been through a rigorous vetting procedure before
they start working with us. In addition, all staff will always
be in uniform and carry a personalised identification card
which shows their name, photograph and signature.
We take a considered and comprehensive approach
to ensuring that your care service is exactly what is required.
Before every visit you care worker will scan the personal
communication device on a unique identifier code that will
be attached to your communication file which will be at your
home upon commencement of service. This information will automatically
be logged onto our carer management monitoring system. The
care worker will then read important information about your
daily tasks which will be provided in your care plan and after
performing safe handwashing procedures and applying personal
protective equipment (for your and the care workers protection
against cross infection) your care worker will will commence
the activities that are required by your daily care plan.
The care worker will then write the details of activities
undertaken during the visit in the care records (which are
retained by the customer). In addition, you may be asked to
record your satisfaction by signing or ticking your care record
notes. These notes will be regularly returned to the AI HOMECARE GROUP office for checks. On successful completion of the
carer activities the care worker will then once again scan
the personal communication device which is logged onto our
carer management monitoring system to ensure the care worker
has stayed the duration of the care visit. As explained above
AI HOMECARE GROUP provides a specialised system and this
comes at no extra cost and will not require any use of your
own personal equipment. The system is a vital piece to ensure
your care needs are met as per your care plan and ensures
we can keep track of lateness and that no calls are missed.
If you require any further information on the system we use
please contact us.
We will send you a bill once a month. If
you wish to pay by standing order (to save you having to remember
to write out a cheque) just let us know.
We will put together a detailed plan for
each customer which, as well as setting out the care to be
delivered, also shows the weekly costs. Some people will be
entitled to assistance with the cost of their care either
from their local Social Services office or via other Government
grants such as ILF (Independent Living Fund) and Direct payments.
We can assist you in applying for these which can be discussed
at our initial meeting.
Our offices are normally open from 9.00am
to 5pm Monday to Friday. Aside from this, we operate a 24
out of hours emergency service. The number for your out of
hours service can be provided for your reassurance, with someone
at the end of the telephone line to assist with any emergencies
about your care.
AI HOMECARE GROUP is registered with
the local registration body in each country in which we operate.
These bodies set the minimum standards by which we operate,
however in every case we seek to exceed these minimum standards
by a significant margin. We are full members of the United
Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA) and we are also registered
with Access NI where all our staff receive a full background
check completed enabling them to have close and regular supervision
of children or vulnerable adults. We also carry Public Liability
insurance.
Many people pay for their home care and
support using their own private funds or with help from family
or friends. Some people will be entitled to assistance with
the cost of their care either from their local Social Services
office or via other Government grants such as ILF (Independent
Living Fund) and Direct payments. We can assist you in applying
for these which can be discussed at our initial meeting.
